Joshua Mitchell is a Senior Fellow with The Common Sense Society and a professor of political theory at Georgetown University, where he has been Chairman of the Government Department and Associate Dean of Faculty Affairs at the School of Foreign Service in Qatar. During the 2008-10 academic years, he served as the Acting Chancellor of the American University of Iraq, Sulaimani. Mitchell is the author, among several other books, of American Awakening: Identity Politics and Other Afflictions of Our Time.
